A life with the sand, wind and tides

National Park Lodge St. Peter-Ording

The lead concept

The Wadden Sea at St. Peter-Ording: where sand, wind and water meet

The topics

Flora and fauna, currents and seasons at the national park and the Wadden Sea world heritage site

The exhibition

On just under 200 m² of floor space, elaborate film documentations, informative displays and aquariums showing the Wadden Sea at St Peter-Ording await the visitor. An interactive display unit allows visitors to experience the interactions of wind, water and sand. In the ‘lost and found corner’ you can compare your beachcombing discoveries or identify them using the ‘Beach Explorer’ via monitor and internet. In the aquarium you can see local sea creatures in action and in the ‘Touchpool’ you can even pet the sea stars and their roommates.
